Id bet a lot that no architect was involved in that contractor’s confection
& don’t go throwing the photog under the bus either…they were just a witness to the car wreck of McMansion

I tore a house down that kinda looked like that one, it wasn't hard or even that expensive. Took 3 days. I wonder what that lot's worth?

Yeah, we always think the '80s were bad, but that shit lasted well into the '90s.

It's quite a staircase though. Must've cost a fortune. Maybe they salvaged it from somewhere and built the house around it.

They started building in 2008 - 16 yrs later they are ready to rough in?
Nice location though - without all that steel & concrete to remove, the lot should be worth asking price

I actually find the landscaping pretty tasteful especially in comparison to how these places ussually are. That wine room would be a great place for me to keep my thousands of dildos and assault rifles too bad its in washington.

Saw places like that up in the Santa Cruz mountains, usually the building activity started around an old school bus. Toilets and showers (indoor or out) connected to a straight pipe into the nearest creek, which often needed a couple of redwoods felled across it with planks nailed on top for a road access.

Rare to see something like this in a more suburban setting.

I've given it a more in depth look and its fascinating. The best part, is the fact it is one bedroom two bath. Thats a huge place to be 1 bed. Then there are the lack of interior pictures, and the only interior pictures there are just show like... a corner or something. I wonder what is in there.

$1.1 M ain't what it used to be. Per the listing, it comes with a trove of treasures though. Like the broken fridge in the backyard.

Wow, Whitefish is a cool little town and all, but wow. When there are no interior photos shown you know it's real nice.

Yeah I started zooming in and it looks like someone has been piecing this thing together with scraps of lumber they found on the side of the road in between meth binges. Click image for larger version.

I'm struggling on how they can use an unfinished basement to declare "2 levels" and count it in the square footage?
