It’s probably why they only show the house on sunny days. On rainy days it gets a little pungent.

Was that a cedar shake ceiling in the garage or have I eaten too much Dramamine again?

Since Portland, ME came up in the NH thread, I thought I should point out this little gem. [It's on Peaks Island.]

Eternal question, how is the neighborhood? Sounds fair for the land if it’s in a decent spot.

First off, it doesn't list the true acerage. Ive been to that island, the lot has got to be about half a postage stamp. It also says no electricity on the Zillow listing. Not sure if that's true, but it's believable. Especially because they mention solar.
So it seems just a tad bit way overpriced to me for a tear down. But, it is Casco Bay and technically "Portland". And this is likely the only property that's going to be up for sale on the island for a long time. So there's that. From what I know it's an eclectic community with a mix of artists, old people, and hipsters with a degree of overlap. Plus the tourists.
