PSA: Geardryer is in stock
Just got an email this morning that the new Geardryer is in stock. It's been at least a year since they had any to sell.

I'm unaffiliated but my neighbors have an older version and it is fantastic cuz their boots are always warm and dry...Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.

Wow. Nice looking product but they need to scale up and get their costs down. I'd buy one for like $300, not $900. That really shouldn't be more than $100 in parts.

Two hair dryers for $25 should do the job.

Why is their website so dark, I thought the screen brightness on my monitor needed to be adjusted.

pretty confident I could build something similar for 1/9 the cost that would push twice as much air

Completely derailing this into Techtalk - apropos DryGuy, does heated air affect boot longevity? I've had a Chinook one for well over a decade that still works and uses ambient air. It needs to be left overnight but now that I'm used to it, I have always wondered about dryers that use hot air and the impact on plastic/cork.

I just bought one of those little portable dry guy things and thought I was more pimping. Now I feel so... inadequate.

Same. They seem to last about 2 years before they burn out, but at $40 a set, I will be long dead by the time I have $900 invested in those little things.

I had built my own and it was ok…but these are really good. With 2 kids on ski team and living in the mountains our shit is wet all the time. Hour late, dry and ready to get packed for early morning the night before.

Best gear dryer for not $900?
Preferably dries multiple boots/gloves...
