    festival casual

WTF is it. Can I get by with clean jeans and a tropical shirt? While I am tapping in to the knowledge here how about cocktail attire? Does dress pants and shirt cut it.

So this is clothes and not a new relationship status for people who get overly familiar under mistletoe or at other festivals?

Sounds like an excuse to wear cut off jorts and a Zeppelin shirt.

    Seriously. That’s festival casual.

Festival casual sounds to me like you should at least cover your privates. How the fuck does that make sense as a dress code when it's already a law in most public places?

Little context here - where are you going and when?

Yeah, what kind of "festival" are we talking about, cause casual can take on a whole other dimension of fashion.

I am going to my billionaire cousin son's bar mitzvah. They have a bunch of events planned all with dress recommendations.
I searched and one search actually had shorts and zep shirts as acceptable. Thus I reached out to the collective on what might be acceptable.

Sounds like they should be sending you a wardrobe to choose from. I'd say go with something from Tommy Bahama

Thanks that is the kind of advice I was looking for. Have a Jamaica Jaxx shirt I probably got at a thrift store I was thinking about going with.

There you go! Dress like you're going to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

He is going to a festival and probably around the Christmas Holiday (or the month of December... ;-)

OP: probably need to watch Seinfeld Festivus show and follow Jerry Stiller's character Frank for style.

He's going to a bar mitzvah - which would have been my last guess for an event where you'd wear "festival attire."

Sounds like it’s themed, not traditional
