Same year someone did 72 laps on the Golden Horn Poma, for the “Poor Man’s Record.”

I’d like to see them do Deep-T. That lift beats me up.

Sorry for going all Uncle Rico on this issue. But none of this is new and there’s been good skiers here for a long time, ie. Fritz Stammberger.

Hell even our own Skideepow is 53 and I don’t see many beating him down.

    2021/22 ASPEN/RFV Condtions

Skiing is still really good right now. We skied Saturday morning at Aspen and hammered out some laps then over to Highlands to ski with one of the kids AVSC groups... Always interesting to see how many people wait for it to warm up some to go skiing... it was empty until 11.

We skied Buttermilk on Sunday and did slope side pizzas...

Let me cipher on that Jethro...let say the old blue bubble chair takes 10" to ride so 34 laps x10 = 340" =5.6 hrs on the lift alone. That leaves 2.4 hours to drop the banana shout 34 times. Have to assume she was on teles just because. Yup adds up but only because she was the Zen goddess of tele. I can however verify that she made at least 34 laps through the bath house.

Haha, Wendy Fisher, ex-Olympian and MSP movie standout definitely didn't spend any time at the infamous bathhouse. Unless she was like 3. But I like the old pics, that place sounded bonkers.

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled RFV content...

Skied Snowmass on Friday afternoon; first time in a few years. Need to get back there when it’s soft. Had a kid in my group fall/slide down Gowdys… unharmed but unideal

Back to Panda this morning with Funken and the toddler crew. Twin dad life:

How about an adult day tomorrow, alpinevibes? If anyone else wants to meet up too, I'll probably be at Ajax around 10.

Ajax was great yesterday with that little refresh. The side hit game was strong with some softened landings

Was planning on some afternoon Bowl laps yesterday, but ended up with a quick lap up Tiehack with a buddy. First Tiehack skin of the season...

Skiing was great and I stuck around for a few extra groomer/soft off-piste laps. So fun

Plus, it got a lot warmer than I’d prefer yesterday. This morning will be interesting.

I did a grand slam on 1A today, I thought it was pretty good considering we haven't had a significant storm in a month and a half.

Snowmass was firm, but we ended it with a late lunch and vino at the LBC.

FIRM was definitely the word of the day today. Corkscrew to Slalom Hill really rattled my teeth. Never seemed to soften up despite the sun.

    2021/22 ASPEN/RFV Condtions

Ice skates down sandy park yesterday while waiting to meet up with some friends in town….a lap in Hanging Valley proved tough on my feet, but the first steep parts were kind of fun as the thought of sliding all the way to the bottom on my backside kept me on top of it….the frog glades were like a luge track in some of the tightest places…making it a fun challenge.

Feel bad for the vacationers paying too dollar and searching out the freshly groomed runs as everything else is pretty tough for people that only ski a couple times a year.

    Is it February yet?

I'll be there in a couple of weeks, hoping for some fresh snow. Long overdue, right?
