That’s too bad. But I bet he’s driving an armored car to the bank.

I wouldn’t worry. Given how successful Hunt has been redeveloping Main Street Bakery and the Johnny Maguires Building I’m sure the space will retain its local character and be an integral part of the community in no time!

even with all the changes over the years it was a place I could go that stil had a lot of the feel of when I lived there 20+ years ago. That blows.

That’s a deal! How come your unloading them so soon?

I already bought blind faith or I’d be all over them.

1A opened around 10 today. Only Roche and Strawpile open now, but everything is ready.
Then the Bucket went down, with a bunch of people hanging.
I bailed, so don’t know what happened later. But it could be a factor tomorrow.

    2021/22 ASPEN/RFV Condtions

Sizeable slide in Mushroom around 11:30. As of an hour ago they didn’t believe anyone was caught. Steeplechase and DT were closed after that. Bowl never opened.

Apparently we only get 2 foot storms this year.

Highlands was indeed deepness this morning. Really nice DT laps before they shut it down. I spied funken in the corral

“Two snowboarders caught in an avalanche Friday on an open ski run at Aspen Highlands emerged with the help of a skier who dug out one buried in snow up to his waist, while the other rider had an injured ankle but was not submerged.”

Sounds like upper terrain will likely be very delayed or closed tomorrow

I miss the days when snowstake cams didn’t exist and you had to look at snotel data to figure out how much fell overnight.

Didn’t make it out yesterday, but got on the gondola at 2. It was running slow and had a bunch of wind holds; they shut it down about 3. I put in like eight hot laps on 6. Pinball is in, but it was stormy and low vis up top.

Such a great December… Another 4-6” during the day today. Aspen is full of powder and omicron!

Sounds like DT/Bowl was shut down again mid day?

With the wind that’s not surprising.

Wonder if the rain that fell then now froze is going to stay put…
Here is a shot of where Henry’s ripped

Nope, delayed but temerity opened around 11 or so, bowl 12:30 ish and both open till normal 2:30 close. Windy as sh!t up there though. Was so good in temerity and steeplechase today - deep, blower, very few people around. Huge props to AHSP - that would have been a tough day in the trenches.

We're closed on Saturdays and Christmas, so it had to count for two days.
After the home snow removal, we got our share of deep temerity. Missed the bowl window, but it was pretty great.
We all work so fucking hard at this time of year, it was really great to catch such a good day.
Other than the pandemic thing, and the people who don't seem to know about it, it's going quite well.

    Feliz ano nuevo amigos!

The skiing today was amazing, I think tomorrow will be amazing, add in a few more days this week too, rinse, repeat as necessary.
