The wind comes from the north picks up moisture from the lake and dumps it on the ridge to the South. Conditions looking interesting!

I am interested in those “interesting” conditions. Looks nice and fluffy enough to make the 6 day ttain ride worth it.

    That trip sounds cool.
However, when I go to that skiinginsiberia site i get a giant exclamation point warning me that the site isn't secure, which doesnt jnstill a whole lotta confidence in regards to booking and paying for a trip...

What was the online ski/board movie where some Euros took a train from Europe to Japan (and a boat, I don't remember exactly) and they got off the train to ski some secret spot in Siberia that a local knew about and had a cabin there? It had pillow lines and all. I think it's a fairly recent release - in the last few years. Anyone?

It’s basic hut style accommodation with an outside toilet but there’s buckets of snow, the terrain is varied, the guide was really excellent and the chef was great! Highly recommend

My Russian neighbour invited me and I was in Moscow anyway for business. 6 hour flight from Moscow to Irkutsk. Cheap but long! It really is a fabulous place.

    Ha, awesome. I'm jealous.

Best trips of my life were 100% recommended by my friends - it's all who you know and I'm thankful for them.

I actually hadn't seen the sherpa's one. This is the one I thought maybe you were referring to:
