Price Check- Ridiculously expensive chairs owned by rock legend

So I moved into a new house, unfurnished. After buying a table I needed some chairs so I responded to an ad for "nice chairs in excellent condition" in Incline Village. Turns out the chairs which I paid a very small amount for were originally in the neighborhood of $1200 per chair. A few days later my curiosity got me and I decided to look at the house on zillow.
The chairs in their natural habitat (I bought 6, including the two head chairs)

And this should tell you who's they were

So now the problem is I can't even sit in them, for I'm quite slovenly and it would pain me to destroy these. So I plan to sell them. Does $150-$200/chair sound reasonable for some sort of craigslist crowd?

the zillow listing, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing

I’m confused how to sit on that couch with all the pillows in the way. That’s my only concern.

Is David Coverdale really a rock "legend"?

Seems like a bit of a stretch to value these as rock memorabilia. But they're worth what you're asking because they're very nice chairs. Might fetch more duckets if Tawny Kitaen had writhed all over them.

I think you’re confusing the terms “nice“ and “gaudy“… they may sound similar, but they have an entirely different meanings.

now that you’ve broken up the set, they’ve lost all value.

If you're 51 like me, this is the only thing you think of when you hear the name Whitesnake.

Well he was the lead singer for Deep Purple, the founder, front man and lead singer for Whitesnake, and had a collaboration with Jimmy Page. Like you said I don't think I've priced them at rock memoribilia numbers. I'm mostly just hoping they wouldn't lose as much value as the same chair without the same history.
No Tawny. This was his wife during the time, and she was a pole dancing instructor in Incline, so there's that too.

    1. Did you buy the life size tiger statue?
    2. The only correct way to honor these chairs is destruction via a raging hair metal 80's party with copious amounts of hookers and blow. It's what Whitesnake would have wanted.

Black lights will either increase or decrease the value depending on the buyer. Which is gross either way.

super bummed it wasn't even there when I got the chairs. Zillow said the house sold back in April, and the lady I got the chairs from said she just bought the house and moved up. So I'm guessing most of the gawdy stuff was already gone. The property exterior was amazing

Remove the gaudy furnishings and looks to be a house with great space/ bones to it.

I've been involved in the remodeling plans for this. Bitchin house. Definitely sat in those chairs some while I was there. Most the rest of the furniture was all gone by the time I was there to draw it up. Hidden doors all over. I've heard some great stories from the old timer contractors that worked on the place when David was living there. Lots of boobs, and blow. And Page sending the guys to the KFC in KB to get some heroin.

You asked for a price check, clearly they’re worth what you paid for them.

I was kidding of course. Turns out the $12,000/10 chairs was already for used chairs. I have no idea what they go for new but if you google kreiss dining chairs all the results are USED chairs for over 1k/chair, some well over 2k. In a tribute to one of the best threads on TGR, I’m going with $333 Chairs

Why not just keep and use the chairs? You got a good deal on them. You’re worried about getting them dirty? Sounds like they’ve seen a lot through the years, your greasy hands, pasta sauce, & wine stains just add to the memories. Rock em hard and put em away wet?

But these chairs are great for meal at any time, even in the Still of the Night.
    Gold.
