sweeet ^ upallnight is one of those secret teton heroes I aspire to.
In the meantime, I continue to ride (the pathways) with this really warm spell these past couple days.

Entering the first season in my adult life without a pass to any hill means the 'Ghee will be incredible this winter, so have fun up there on my behalf!

Silver lining is that they cut the 5th Street shuttle stop so I was going to be grumpy anyway, now I'll miss it less.

Bummer on losing the skate park stop, that was our place. Hope a pass comes to pass for all of us.

I have about 15 energy logs (compressed sawdust) that someone can have. They are great in a wood stove. Need them gone in the next few days, can also deliver somewhere around Jackson. Shoot me a pm if you want them.

Thinking about heading up to Jackson to ski over Thanksgiving - storm totals look decent, and the Wasatch has been pretty dry lately. I'd be there Thurs-Sun, either at a cheap motel or camped out somewhere.

Any mags not have family commitments and want to get out? I'm a safe skier (avy1/wfr), and I've skied a decent bit in the park/at the pass/in Togwotee.

Beers & coffee on me if you wanna go for a walk in the woods with an out of towner. Cheers, t

Wow... that's a kind thing to say. I'm nobody, though!

Apparently that was a lot of people's place, and was part of the federal public transit plan for the valley, with the funding that entails. Grapevine says that the skate park stop is back on the route now, but we'll see if that change manages to make it onto the printed schedules.

I love it that you are close to the news (heheh) and can update and quell the rumor mill.

I have to second that. I follow your instagram and inspiring is an understatement. You may be nobody, but you're an inspiring nobody!

Checking in. Great first post in this thread, Djongo.

On a somewhat somber note, Targhee delayed thier opening indefinitely. I'm flying out for the weekend, so hopefully that means lots of snow for everyone who stays.

Welp, the bird hunting has been stellar, Henry's will have fishable ice soon, whitetail are horny, and saw some brave folks riding bikes in sub freezing sunshine today. I aint complaining. Seems like slow starts turn into long winters anywho.

The recent storm skiing podcast is with Mary Buckley. Good listen. When it comes to Ikon (I forget the quote) but it's not going away any time soon.

also, Joe Ricketts lost his rezone application to build his resort up the upper hoback. Lost 3-2. Last time it was 4-1. He'll be successful the next go around.... His representative said no ice bar this year as Joe lost a lot of money on that apprently. Luckily he has 4.5 billion left over.

Admittedly, I’ve only skied the ghee a handful of times, but what attracts me to the area is the low-key vibe and terrain access.

Isn’t it possible to increase both?

I don’t care about a restaurant, chondola, cat skiing, and all the whiny BS about Teton Canyon.

More skiing is more skiing. Cut the foo foo stuff and increase the ski stuff.

Also, I’m curious about this website, and the silly marketing tripe:

    https://savetetoncanyon.org

After reading this, you’d think that expanding the ski resort would ruin the community.

People always want progress, but they don’t want change.
