Fun day at Targhee today, the rime up top had the tourists running for the lodge and while I have to admit that it was a challenge i definitely found some good snow. He’s a pic to prove it. Click image for larger version.

    Happy Birthday HMS!

There was a top to bottom wind crust on lower sublette ridge this morning. Skiable, but not super-fun.

The crown in the expert chutes was pf frightening. Anyone know when it happened and how it was triggered?

I’ll be in line early tomorrow in hopes patrol does their magic for an on time opening.

What was the deal with sublette today, guessing wind hold? Anything stay virgin over there? Not sure what the hell I want to ski tomorrow, may be a good day to take the Katanas on their maiden voyage.

Wind. Was getting pushed to the north on every turn in the bowl, kinda fun. I skied Bivy woods at 1pm and it was nice soft wind buffed but kinda grabby snow. Strangely R trail felt sublime on the runout, cream cheese and nobody on it

Anyone want to make some turns at the village tomorrow, maybe meeting up midmorning? DJ, BB, Schwerty, EOB what you up to? Would be cool to meet some out of town mags too.

The drive yesterday was fine. Clear roads to Montana, snowy after that with some wind, but a la in all an easy drive. Got some laps in at big Sky yesterday and today. Plan is for some morning laps before heading back to JH tomorrow.

I was supposed to pick up my wife in Bozeman, but her office is being decimated by COVID, and since she already had it a couple months ago she has to hold down the fort

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

It's not the most amazing of ski photos, but I'd like to think that Ullr was "liking" this turn from above
especially as it looks like we have a week or 10 days of a high pressure system?
