Coming in it didn't really matter though since we came in north of Jackson Lake and then looped back over the valley, so it was still a great view. Incredible weather during my stay, I must say. I do need to go back so I can watch Jeopardy with babybear.
I am bummed that we missed you, but hopefully on another trip including skiing and jeopardy

and nbabucks- you should post pics about your cabin- people will dig it.
did that come partially prebuilt or was that all the work of you and your wife?

Right on, Will do after this weekend when I hopefully get the chimney in before the weather hits . If anyone likes the thrill of walking on an 8/12 pitch metal roof with sketchy probably not good anymore climbing ropes I've got some excitement out in the hoback for ya this weekend.

100% our work. Haven’t tried to contract anything out because the job is so small and would be such a pain and I’m cheap!

I'll be around quite a bit, but I typically only ski bc, hard to stomach the price for a day at the village. Maybe dinner sometime with the wives?

Any of you go to the Andrew Munz show at the Moose?
    Pretty excellent and entertaining.
2/3 of the crowd were too young or new to know a ton of the references.

since it's not snowing yet Here is a pic.

It's past Bondurant and the upper hoback turnoff. Entrance is across from north fork or right past rim station about midway on Rim road once you are in the ranches. This is the place that burnt in the 2018 Roosevelt fire. Not a single living mature tree on my property but we've found a few sapling lodge pole pines starting to emerge. Nothing was built on the property I purchased so it was 'virgin land'. Two years of progress (summer weekend warriors!) all done by us because I'm too stubborn to contract anything out (we did do have the well contracted because I can't dig 360 feet). Hanging sheetrock was this weekend and my wife is a saint for helping on that and everything else

I haven't been there yet in the winter but we share a valley with a few people but I can't see them. Hopefully lots of hills to meadow skip and a few neighbors i've talked to said sure, ski it! I have a pair of the Voile fish scale skis so I hope some quick up and downs will work on those and the fish scales remove the fiddle factor. X is us.

    video tour from this weekend

also i just learned that our neighbor a mile down the road plows to her house and we can park there apparently which takes a 4.5 miles snowmachine in to a 1 mile snowmachine/hike in come winter.

the community out there has a very strong NIMBY mentality and try and fight any development in the bondurant/hoback area which is great as I've already entered the door and have close it behind me lol. Rickets just applied to rezone the whole upper hoback into a resort (which is more than his initial postage stamp he got approved last year).

Your place looks awesome, as a fellow small house owner welcome to the club and the neighborhood (if 65 miles away is a neighborhood)
