FKNA finally got them. I am so stoked to ski them. They ooze TGR.
Can someone help me identify their build?
They weight just under 2kg each. Under the chipped top sheet fiberglass is visible then a dark layer. Is it carbon fiber? They have metal tip and tail inserts. I am no hand flexing dynamometer, but they seem stiff under the foot with a medium progressive flex in the tip and tail.
I was going to mount them with frame bindings and mostly use them to ski resort with the occasional sidecountry skinning lap. I am surprised they weight close to my L120s. Now I am thinking I might use them for couloir and steep skiing. Should I bastardize them further with a set of inserts for tyrolia adrenalin and vipecs? Shifts?

pretty sure most Lhasas had carbon and doubt whether any fiberglass weighed that little.
great skis for touring and or inbounds
Just make sure you don’t use a binder that leaves a bunch of the Swiss cheese right in front of the toe and enjoy….

Gawd this thread is making me pine for my Lhasa’s that I sold to Noyes a few years back. Might reach out and see if he’s using them or if I can buy back!!!

I have some 179s that I am thinking of parting with. 3 mounts, currently with bd 01s that could be included. Bases in good shape with professionally repaired scratches and edges are in very good shape.
I got these from Splat last winter and just got blanks for Christmas (my wife is a keeper) so these aren’t going to see the use they deserve.

I love the hybrid 191…didn’t really care for the 186 as much.

Yeah, I ski my 191 hybrids every year. They’re still a great design.

Awesome skis. Wow. Similar to the L120, very easy to turn, but they power through crud and don't get thrown around. Great in the resort and probably they will probably double as my "skinny" touring skis.
Thanks for posting these!

feeler: have a pair of 191s w/ arrows on the base mounted with dynafit comforts(?) ~ 320 bsl - maybe something else, don't recall
desperate need of a base grind/flatten, but have never been ground so plenty of material to play with. otherwise solid condition, usual skuffs and scrapes/chips
skis are free for cost of shipping. will include the touring binders for $50 (one of the plates in flat mode broke off forever ago).
not immediately available (location differs from mine and no plan to be there for at least a month or so)
