    Winter Olympics 2022

Less than 100 days to go, NBC is airing commercials with the Bangles version of "A Hazy Shade of Winter".

Another case of not listening to the lyrics or was it intentional?

Anyway... Go USA Hockey, beat the canucks.

Stoked about the level of talent on the both men's and women's freestyle team (bumps, park and pipe). Speed team has some real good opportunities too and looking forward to Shiffrin competing in up to 5 events.

Given the venues that have hosted the Winter Olympics since since 2014, it is hard for me to take the games seriously. South Korea, China, Russia. Not the best hosts for alpine events

Well the home team's probably a lock on what they call "aerials" these days.. Gymnastics on skis.. Respect the difficulty and risks they take, but seems weird that most of them can't ski any better than I do.

US is overdue for downhill gold, mens or womens, either would be cool..

Yeah, Chinese aerialists have pretty much been on lock for years. It's like they took their diving team and gave them skis.

Isn’t the usual reason for poor Olympic construction that the unbuilt thing is actually a yacht in the Mediterranean or a Cypriot bank account?

I think if you dont make the diving or gymnastics team that is your next option, pair that with good coaching....

Better than being on the Chinese Downhill team.

I guess they were trying to establish a luxury resort atmosphere, but would forget to build changing rooms in the pools at the ski resort hotels ??

But holy shit that first post was a non-sequitor

The good thing about the Olympics is that China (probably) wont pull some stupid shit in the south china sea in the next 3-4 months.
