I guess they decided to waive the 3 point "goggle strap under the helmet" deduction for his last run..

    Winter Olympics 2022

White didn’t come anywhere close to what Ayumu just did for gold! Even if he completed all his runs.

So stoked to see Hirano throw down even harder and the judges make it right.

Good thing he nailed his run twice and got the right score for Gold

Never was a fan of White but almost had to cheer him on with old guy status.

    Go Shiffrin

    Yup. Good on her.

Gut looked awesome. And she’s a total sweetheart.

The relief level from watching MS get down clean and strong was huge.

Personal PTSD admittedly from someone/something else, but god I’m so relieved for her.

Glad to see Mikaela put down a solid run. That’ll help the confidence and maybe she’ll stomp the combined.

If you’re talking about her interview just now I disagree. I thought she was poised, honest and revealing about how she’s performed and how her expectations are different from everyone else’s: i.e., it’s about how she’s skiing, feeling the run, not results, that matter.

    Huge props to her.

Agree. I think it took more confidence to launch into some of that than she had before. She wears it on her sleeve, not afraid to fail and confidence seems to be building. Gonna be loose.

I just felt like she was on an emotional tightrope and was just barely hanging on. I typed that while the interview was ongoing and I honestly was afraid she was going to fall apart on national TV. She didn't, she held it together, she did great, and I'm very happy about that.
