PNW 2021/2022 Season! La Niña ahead!

My first turns of the season were today at Heather Meadows. The season has started with 1700’ of pow turns, skinning from the car, and no core shots (not even a scratch!).

    My notes:
Snow was deeper than expected, stoke is high, video of weather below.

It was meant to be a warm up/gear check day that turned out to be a great storm day.

The only video I have is of blowing snow at Austin Pass, it's the only time I took my gloves off long enough to pull out my phone.

Sorry DOD, I was trying to make up for my lack of pics with some actual useful info. I'll keep my GoPro rolling for your enjoyment next time.

    If this is The Thread...

Hey OP, edit your post #1 to include the links from this post.

... and do we have to read "season opener" all season?

Not teaching at Alpental for the first time in 10 years so I can take a few ski trips during prime season. Got my Summit pass and an Ikon to hit Crystal for the first time in a long time. Hopefully the lack of plowing will keep most of the 2WD tech bros away, but I just expect a bigger cluster on 410. Hope to meet more mags this year.

    WSDOT staffing clusterf*ck.

Partially antivax trouble, but mostly outdated wage structure and internal promotions leaving vital slots unfillled

It's unclear ATM what will happen. I think they may have modified the post, but originally SR 410 was something they said they would have trouble regularly plowing.

I am feeling quite unmotivated to get in ski shape, compared to last year. I think the biggest difference is having SW chutes being a goal was fairly motivating. So...

What are some mid-season and end season missions, I could shoot for? + who's coming with me??
