I think we got so much snow late that the snow level was high, so there’s nothing next to the road (5400’), but there’s way more snow than usual from about 6000’ and upwards. It’s skiing really well too.

Agreed, we climbed Colchuck on Saturday and there was no snow at the lake level (5,600') but several feet by the time we hit the col at 8,000'. Saw a few other climbers on Dragontail but nobody else on Colchuck. Good sized crowd at the lake as you'd expect.

My first time down the chutes yesterday, we dropped in just before noon and ripped perfect corn down to the bowl. The last 500 feet was a little mushy already. We turned around at the bottom to see that we had opened the floodgates and several other groups were swarming down the line. We booted the 7000' traverse, and then skied all the way down to the round the mountain trail. Another group skied the Morrison Creek drainage, but it didn't sound much better than the traverse. Awesome day, awesome line.

PSA for the TG-gnarbros, the NFNWR on Adams is out of shape for the season. Some sad deterioration of this route over the past few years.

Damn that is a bummer to see. The line looks pretty dramatically different.
