They are over selling it. "Check your favorite forecast" is Baker code for: it's going to be frozen solid.
Monday was the day to be there. I skied Wednesday and it was ok, but it was easy to hit the bottom. Then it rained and snained today and now it's in the process of refreezing. This weekend is looking like groomers only with possible the biggest crowds of the year. I wish I could skip it, but my kid starts lessons.Last edited by jslattsbham; 01-07-2022 at 04:08 PM. Tuesday was the day. Light and dry but I had my own personal epic to deal with.
I heard White Salmon was mostly raining this morning, but that likely changed.

Magnificent Unicorn nailed it, Wednesday at Big Windy was great with the usually bumps in the base. Unfortunately one was a little bigger than I thought and caused a delam on my board; nothing some epoxy and clamps can't fix. Was super bummed to miss Thursday but as reports started trickling in it was a repeat of past big snow events at Mission, just more than that mountain can handle. Today there had been *some* attempts at grooming so you could build up speed and then bust out and hope to find something steep or a track and make it back to a groomer. People were stuck everywhere on the mountain. Great turns off No Name and high speed chowder in Nertz, Rock Garden was super good too. Even lift line on 4 was super fun, but that might have been the 170cm full reverse camber 4" setback and tapered board doing the talking

Buddy was at Crystal today, took this pic of Bear Pits from Rex. Did they have it slide from Powder Bowl and take out that whole face of trees next to Lucky Shot? That's a hell of a run.
