It's new for the year, but was in place last year. They hinted it might be coming at the beginning of the season, but I think staffing is what forced. Ikon pass holders are complaining on Summit socials, but take it up with Ikon. I think all non-Alterra resorts should do something similar with Ikon.
I hope they bring back the pass holder only Lot 4 this year, too. That was awesome last year.

Nice. I like that Lot 4 plan too. Fingers crossed that comes back too!
Sounds like they are recommending a snorkel for today, (and tonight for sure) NOT because of deep powder. I am targeting tomorrow night to start working on this new love of the rain and the corn it brings with it!

Most gore-Tex will wet out skiing in drenching rain within an hour or two.
Better wear a rubber dude.

Yeah, I don't have rubber rain gear. I'm wearing gore-tex, plan to get real wet, and when that happens, I go home! I just need to get the legs working some turns!!! I'll have a towel and change of clothes ready to rock and roll in the car.
I might just blow it off too...but it's fun to talk tough on the internet! LOL

Wear a trash bag. Seriously. Cheap and works really pretty well. Taller the bag the steezier and better coverage.
I was an inch away from buying a rubber rain suit setup at Tractor Supply for $75 this weekend while there. Woulda done it if my size was in stock in orange or yellow... Oh well.

I'm in Seattle and never been to White Pass or Mission Ridge- was thinking of bring the kids out for a long weekend next month and they both have decent lesson packages. Any reason to pick one over the other for beginner/intermediates?

Weekend crowds that time of year at White are insane. Unless you have a way to warm up the little ones on your own, avoid it. The lodge will most certainly have nowhere for you to sit and rest on a weekend day. Buddy of mine brings an ice fishing tent there now with a heater for his kiddos.
Beginner slopes at Mission are far easier for new skiers as well. The front side of white pass is very limited in mellow slope angle available. If your kids have the basics down, the Basin quad area at White is amazing for mellow skiing, but you have to go down a narrow cattrack to reach the base area when you're ready to go.
Also, Wenatchee is close to Mission, so the likelihood your phone doesn't work there is lower. If that matters to you for any reason.
