After 36 years of skiing Crystal and Snocrummy as my main mountains, I have finally decided it is no longer worth the effort to ski in the PNW.

Hello Park City and my new 10 min ski commute!

I was in Park City last week. Talking to a local who said his drive to the hill is between 5 minutes and 45 depending on traffic, so Park City and Pugetopolis seem to have similar issues.

I was up Saturday enjoying the sun and making the most of it. Hope to go back in March when the poma is back up and running.

Coast has been fog and wind free and close to 50F in the afternoon during this high pressure streak. Supposed to continue until Friday if anyone is looking for sun and doesn't want to go up.


Brookings, Oregon got up to 79F on Sunday where as low spots East of the Cascades didn't get above freezing.

I was there with my kids playing around on the bunny slope and drooling at all the potential. The vibes alone are worth the trip.

Riff, looks like winter snow in the Finger? How high did things soften, and how was the sastrugi/wind-buff/ice up high? Curiously collecting data points for future windows with similar conditions. I've only been up there later season when it was corn to the top.
