In my seasonal suggestion seasoning sessions of Crustal, I repeatedly request requiring snow tires to be enforced by WSP like they used to when it was run by the founders.

As for vigilante plowism, that might work in Texas.
Just turn people around at the blvd if they don’t have chains in the vehicle. It’s worked before.

What are they going to do, dedicate a scarce WSP trooper to chain and snow tire duty?

Good luck with doing it without someone with a badge and gun in today’s world.

Law enforcement officers love working side gigs.

Crustal used to pay for that service by WSP.

Here's a hot take: Crystal would be well justified in their new paid parking model if this was where a small % of the money went. No qualms.

Why would Alterra move to affect their bottom line?

They could afford it 20 years ago and more when receipts were much less under the founders, Boyne, then the Kirchers, even well before paid parking.

It just rubs me wrong that the cost of skiing in the PNW is increasingly beyond the reach of the average person. One reason we need more ski areas.

The third party sue-and-settle litigation industry has been alive and well for a long time in Washington state - I think you're giving Texas too much credit for coming up with the idea.

Just freshly waxed the skis and finished regluing skins for the first time.

If its anything like washing a car, I guess you have me to thank for the high snow line and rain this weekend.

Anyone local to Seattle want these? They are pretty beat, not worth putting on GS and shipping. Name a fair price and they’re yours.

They are a 191 Lhasa shape with a core from the old 192 bro charger and an OG topsheet. I think splat was just burning up old material at the end of a production run…. holes from large dukes and dynafits @ 314.

Plenty of base damage and one or two diy fixed delams. Definitely still skiable though

I'd help plug holes with hardwood, assist with any base damage/delams for folks that are interested, and mount for mags that need the help.

If you have no takers, I'd snag them to keep them out of the trash for a six pack of Four Loko or your choice of 40...

I wonder how much $ Summit burned to pack down the runs to help reduce damage from the rain. I just drove over late this afternoon and it was down to basically bare grass. Might be nothing at all by tomorrow.

Getting our pineapples out of the way early, right?

Waste if they did. It was pretty obvious given intensity of the event forecasted that it would be a total loss. Some zones got 6 inches of rain/24. I'm calling opening day of 12/10 with limited ops. Fuck you too, climate change.

This weather is certainly much more appealing when it's producing snow in the mountains. Yuck.

Wenatchee. River was raging. Good show on the west side also. Other than that screw this place with all the traffic and shitty roads.
