This morning was kind of surreal. I did 2 laps in the Bowls, then decided the venture over to the other side. Got to the top of Rock Garden and it had not even been skied yet.

I’ve adjusted my standard and I thought last Thursday and Friday skied great with a manageable holiday crowd.. probably $150 tix and restriction on value pass holders have something to do with that.

More importantly, anyone in the know what’s up with Heather/PR? Waiting for snow to consolidate?

I am too lazy to tour, but I am pretty confident you can strike pre work turns form the agenda if you are working in Portland; not close enough.

Actually, we don’t discuss too much backcountry here. Maybe we all mostly a bunch of chair-riding-degenerates. Maybe try try the Hook Up forum?

After work turns can be a real fun at Skibowl. They have great night skiing.

^ Pre-work tours are possible out of portland. You can get up mirror lakes and back into skibowl in a few hours. If the temps stay low glspi, check out ski bowl for night skiing and Tom Dick and Harry for touring. I wouldn’t recommend the tour solo for a first timer but it’s safe to tour up out of avy terrain and drop into the controlled skibowl area(my go to solo tour). Feel free to PM if you want more ideas

Those are 24 hour totals. However, 59" over the past 72 hours is not too shabby.

No it is not, although the 72 hr total is down to 48” @ end of today.
Snow today was great, viz sucked, wind chill -15 to -20.

Tomorrow at home with the snow blower, then back for hopefully better viz on Wednesday

Please check for Outback being open before relying on the control work to be completed.

Ditto, and I’m not even religious. Bach is gonna be sick when NW spins, maybe this Wed?
As to Meadows, I’ve a feeling PR pops today... and lower Heather/JW debuts for the season this Wed.

Yesterday MHM had PR listed as doing avy work instead of closed. It should be opening very soon.

    From the Bachelor website;

FAST TRACKS IS YOUR ALL-DAY UPGRADE TO MT. BACHELOR'S NEW EXPRESS LIFT LINES
More laps, more pow, more stoke! Pine Marten, Sunrise, Skyliner, Cloudchaser, Outback, Northwest, Summit, Red Chair, and Little Pine lifts at Mt. Bachelor now feature Fast Tracks, a daily add-on pass that gives you access to dedicated express lift lanes that bypass the lift line. Now you can spend more of your day skiing and riding and less time waiting. Reserve Fast Tracks online in advance or slope side when you get here, valid for use starting December 18. Don’t wait! Access is limited each day.

    STARTING AT $49

Meadows prepped the base of Vista Monday. It also looks like they knocked ice off the sheaves & towers

I just looked at super iced-up CEX cam… haha, no way it’s gonna be ready any time soon.
I remember PM lift at Bach used to drip grease. I wonder if that was hydrophobic grease they used on purpose to repel ice.

5 lifts were spinning @ bachelor with 10,000 riders. Powdr never disappoints. Word on the hill is Sky will be down for awhile. Maybe next week crowds will subside. Stay safe out there.
