Not quite. Green is closer to Blue, where Skyliner is now. Orange was originally right of Black

True. I was just referring to what old lifts it was between. As you point out it’s actually between only orange and green while crossing where black went.

Green was named Button when it first went in and was coincidentally built the same year as Orange.

The Vent knob at the top of Green to the right was called the button to my recollection which is not very good.

ODOT reports 33” at the pass.

Hogg pass snotel (just off the access road) says 32”

And if you’d look at the other deck pic you’d see the snow is almost to the top of the railing.

So unless that railing is only 12-14” tall they have a bit more than 8-10”

Edit- ODOT reports 22” at Santiam Junction way down the hill….

A few people going for a hike this morning. Snow was on the medium density side of things.

Anyone make it up to Bachelor for the soft (lame) opening day? Were they selling fast tracks passes? I heard there was a solid 2.5" of overnight freshies. Hopefully they didn't groom it all and left some fresh for the powder hounds.

    I was there.

I awoke at 0420 - a propitious time to start the new season

Arrived to VIP parking, because I drive the official car of Mt Bachelor and lesbians everywhere

While waiting for lifts to open with a bunch of younger peeps, I suggested that if they knew any park kids who sported external speakers in their packs, it would be cool if they belted out Pink Floyd’s “Money” when the lifties let the Fast Trackers out first. They thought this a brilliant idea, particularly when I said I would reward video evidence of this with a 1/4oz of my home grown.

    I was awarded this sticker

Mountain ops were judicious with their grooming, which allowed many snowboarders many opportunities to wallow in waist high snow on certain flat sections.

After two hours I was dizzy and had to meet with a client.

A good day to wake up those muscles that don’t get much use in the off-season.

Word has it that SR and maybe Sky will open Friday

On the lift today, watching a snowboarder wallowing in flats up to his waist. yelling “mother fucker”, “fuck this shit”, etc. Honestly i was witnessing an emotional breakdown.

I yell “don’t fall next time”

He looks up and gives me the bird. Lol

My guess is if Red Chair spins, it could be a nice morning for a few quick laps.

Weather should be good, but is there enough coverage? That is not exactly well-manicured terrain...

I checked the Meadows cams today while I suffer at my dental lawyer practice. The main lot looked full. Do people work anymore? WTF?!
