As per usual Jonesy can't take a pic in focus to save his life. For those that are looking for a clearer picture of what is going on at Bachelor; here's a pic of the snow stake around noon. It's pretty obvious what's going on up there...

Dense and wind affected on the world's biggest miniature butte, but fun. No complaints here.

    Holy sh%#.

Winds did not get too crazy this morning (but building back up now) so Sunrise Cloud and Red were soooooo good this morning. I’m cooked. My crappy cell connection isn’t letting me upload pics but basically they are trenches getting blown back in by nuking snow!

Thanks for the beta. How heavy was the snow?

Going to see if I can get in an hour on Tuesday.

Same question, although I'm guessing Billy Goats are the tool for tomorrow regardless

It's like a HS math question. If the Bachelor snow stake is at 15" at 3:30pm on Monday, and it snows an inch an hour, how much new snow will be on the ground when Pine goes on wind hold at 9am on Tuesday?

    Oregon 2021-2022 Snow Flow Thread

Heavy enough to keep me above most buried rocks and logs (of which there are a metric ass ton) on my Woods 108s but light enough to blast through. Density dropped through the day but with winds picking up and shifting more NW this afternoon I expect somewhat variable conditions, probably perfect density transition of blower on supportable in the trees and wind textured surface above blower on open runs. Tree skiing the steps of Red along the spine lines and toward Cone runout was oh so smile inducing today. And lots of deep pockets on Cloud but I smacked a couple big rocks here and there.

In other no shit news, cone runout had soft slab on it, but tons of people hitting it. I bet someone triggers a windslab and goes
For a short ride on Tumalo tomorrow …

They’re all powder skis if you ski ‘em in powder.

I love facebook groups for Bachelor. Lovely traffic pictures in the morning, followed right after by enormous lift line photo's at Pine. Hope you all get some goods up there and can find some out of the way secret stashes to avoid the crowds!

With my back hurting from a crash yesterday, I took the kids this morning so that my wife could sk-

Nevermind, the singles line was up past the first tower and she just took one lap and was grumpy about no vis skiing solo and long lines. Taking a break and hopefully resetting once NWX pops.

It really really sucks with Sky broken and OBX unstaffed. Just fucks the lines for where Ikonic folks are wanting to ski.
