Got the sled mega stuck today, 2 hr digging effort didn’t help. Left it there this afternoon and skied back to the car. Gonna have to go back with a friend or two this weekend to try again…

That’s what I get for trying to get in a quick ski by myself after 6ft of snow. Still got in some good turns today though!

Wow, glad I skied there 15 years ago. We rarely had to wait.

Good Friday. I will look to get some leftovers along with the Easter Bunny this weekend.

I'd like to rewind to the discussion of 105 underfoot skis being powder skis? 'Round here we call those groomer skis.

I've actually been really happy with my 99 underfoot skis as my only skis. I do try to avoid flat runouts when it's really deep/heavy, but I've never felt undergunned with them. Hell, I'm old enough to remember having a pair of 79 underfoot twin tips as my "powder skis."

I've been trying to get rid of K2 Annex 118 and Pontoon (130) for years... reasonable price. I need some more groomer skis!

Snow at Hoodoo today was like Booner’s girlfriends- thicc. It got warm yesterday PM and some drizzle added a nice thin crust when it froze last night.
Green did not open - tomorrow - So lines were long
That said, still had fun with Jonesy and various ‘Doo instructors/coaches
    Great people watching as always

Lady skied by Jonesy and said “woah, are mustaches like that even legal anymore?”
To which I piped up with “it’s ok, he’s in porn”

Trying to keep a low profile but it doesn't seem to be working. I should take up Nordic.

^^We're happy to have Hiram aka. Dr. Snow. Mt. A pass holders getting 4 days at the 'Doo. Might put that to use this weekend. Miss that place from the CorVegas days.

Had 4 great days at Bachelor this week on the spring pass. Spring surprise...traveled over on Saturday to ride bikes. Ended up stuck in the Eastside storm cycle. At least had enough sense to throw the skis in last minute. Okay so maybe it wasn't a surprise, but I'm glad the forecast rang true.

For April 16, it sure felt like regular old winter. A few inches of soft over packed powder. Lower PR had a melt crust underneath that was a little odd, maybe just sun-affected?. Missed Cascade/Upper Heather by showing up for the late session, but had the better snow conditions. Still pumping when I left.

Somehow a snowboarder got his board/binding caught and stuck under the chair. It took 2 lifties about 2 minutes to get him unstuck

It got a little challenging off cascade there at mid day but still found nice snow to rip on arena for a couple of laps. Spent the early afternoon lapping twilight bowl where I amazingly found some leftover shin to knee deep for a few blissful turns.
