2-3" at the Loaf, Timberline on wind hold today with 40-50mph winds. We opted for soft boiled eggs over stuffing with gravy and bacon, maybe a little pumpkin pie too. Sorry no pics so you'll have to trust me on that.

    Soon come

As is normally the case with westerly winds generating upslope, Magic gets shadowed by Stratton and Bromley.

Wind hold I'm guessing. Was just at Stratton picking up an Ikon Pass and the winds were howling. Ganjala was on wind hold. Much less back here at BoM.

I don't think I'll ever ski at Stratton on a weekend but Monday is looking promising.

My deeply entrenched sources suggest that it was, in fact, the wind but it’s also possible that is FAKE NEWS.

Stowe was so gusty this am it knocked Mrs. Laps over when we went to transition. I am heading up again after the spousal lap. Hoping there is some fluff left on chinclip.

Smuggs was deep where the wind was calm. I’d estimate 15” deep towards the summit. It sounds like Steaux got the heavy wind today.

From M1 to M2 was so good on upper FIS and Docs, it was worth a bonus lap. My legs needed Chilcoot for the last run from the top and Dan’s Ford was a bonus bit of pow where it was blown in on skiers left. Lots (and lots) of folks were out enjoying the new snow.

    Only one pic, going up.

I see Bill bought the Yakima brand receptacles, but didn't spring for the Yeti bins.

That closest one is a yeti prototype. Keeps your shit cold in the winter and is bear proof.

Nice to all that got out. It's overdue for me to have a place in VT. Damn...

I know this isn't VT...but I don't know exactly where you are? Sutton?

Sometimes you are just striding along, sucking air, and trying to keep your heart beat from fracturing your sternum, when you run into a 3 time Olympian. It’s a good thing I knew his Olympian wife back when she was still figuring out pizza and french fries.

Snow on the Coast… today’s hike was kind of like touring but with no actual skiing. At least it was pretty.

Seeing that you were on the skinny sticks I was going to say Andrew Johnson, but he was "only" in 2 Olympics as well.

Doing well and just back east for a holiday visit. As you can imagine, he and his training partner were fathoms above the average skier on the Notch Rd.
