Hickory is a cool place and I was looking forward to them opening again but I'll be surprised if this works for them.

I was part of the video shoot for the Magic segment but they cut just about all of the skiing. Rustygroomer absolutely killed it in the trees and it ended up on the cutting room floor. I burned a vacation day for that.

^^^^^^ would have liked to have seen you and Rusty in the vid and wish they had shown more skiing of Magic. Great to see Dowork and he was spot on. Magic is truly a special place and has come a long way over the last decade or more. Jeff and Dowork are a good team for the future and I thank them. Looking forward to getting back there this winter and seeing the usual mags, two years has been to long.

I’ll be up at Smuggs the next few days. Yellow helmet, brown FRS jacket. Ask for change if you want to take a lap.

Searching through some old ski pics today and came across this rare view of the Ticketchecker and I at Sugarloaf many moons ago. Funny story, that

Lemme guess… a foggy ice storm rolled through followed by a ton of wind so everything was closed down except The Bag… so you got hammered?

Almost Was that big Christmas time storm in 2012. First time at the Loaf for me - The Bottlewoman hadn't been there since she was racer chasing. Met a cool group of guys and gals in the lift line before opening and ended up skiing with them all day. Had a particularly good time with this one dude who was a DPS rep at the time. Posted pics on TGR that evening and got the note - ummmmmm, that was me you were skiing with all day. Skied together again the next day and a bromance was born. That Ticketchecker is a good guy, I tells ya. My best memory is catching a rope drop on Bubblecuffer with nary a bump underneath.

Unfortunately, it looks like I killed it. You know, that “who hates to be the last post in a thread?” syndrome.

Are you suggesting that Bubblecuffer and Ripsaw are not always slathered with 30" of non-wind affected perfect density pow? How disappointing

I remember the dashes off Upper Spillway (skiers right FTW!) to make about 12 turns down Sluice back when it used to snow. It was awesome
