Big old bunch of fucking 1.72" here in the NEK (measured in a drift). This winter sucks so far. I haven't even had to plow my driveway this year.
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Blew it up at Smuggs today with a bus load of high schoolers on sterling/ m II and a solid 10”. Once the word was out, still only had 5 minute lines.

I got almost that on my hat during a 40 minute skin
Jedi N*** and I caught up with Lurker J for some earned turns
What goes up......
Pretty impressive snowfall rates provided much refreshment
A bit of smoke
5 1/2 hrs of up and down for 5k-O-Fun
The Cat was sated....
Went from 5-6" to 12-14" as we skied.

I like what I see. Though I will miss all the complaining and in fighting this thread usually delivers while everyone is actually out skiing.

Spent the long weekend up at Jay. Temps bottomed out at -18 on the condo thermometer Friday night into Saturday morning. Bad news is the Bonaventure quad burned something out (possibly a gear box) on Saturday morning and might be offline for a while. Monday was the best day of the season if you stuck around till the crowds cleared out in the afternoon with free refills on every lap.
Pic from Sunday afternoon, calm before the storm.

moeghoul texted that 5” more had fallen at Smugs overnight. That meant around 14”
total. doremite planned to head up so it was time to pack.
A few of the blue trails had been groomed at some point in the night but there was still a few inches of fresh on top.
The woods were excellent all over the mountain and we got lucky when M1 opened around noon.

^^^as for VTfree...yow!!
ditto peruvian.
welcome winter 2022.
took you long enough!
didn't ski the storm but did make it out to platts on friday, to beat saturday's arctic cold. (so used to recent lack of snow i totally missed what was coming!)
friday was flat and fast but edgeable enough to ski with relative abandon.
the ice on the lot and walkways - not so much for walking.
monday must have been the shite!

Killington exceeded low expectations today. Zero lines and soft bumps/blown in groomers in afternoon. Think I'm finally warming up.

Well that storm delivered. Tons of killer snow on every mtn facing west down here. Skied the woods all day yesterday on the nocta with minimal damage. Storm total at Stratton and bromley claims 15”. With that 80mph wind, it was 0” on the east sides and 30” on the west sides. Mondays was wind hammered 6’ drifts to hard pan. Amazing what a night does. It was as good as it could of been yesterday

Where were the two skiers on Monday night that Stowe SAR had to go after? Anybody heard what went on?

Sweet!!!! ^^^^ Nice to see so many cool captures from around the east.
Currently cold as fuck and windy bob
Joined the crew for some hike to laps
Those big NW winds and another 3-5" erased all evidence of yesterdays fun...
Pretty cold as the temp kept dropping...
And LJ looking for an untracked line
It's a beautiful thing
Didn't want to stop but bid farewell to the crew to head home and shovel the drive for an hour and a half
KB pointed out that we had a storm last year on the 15th that started our good run of skiing, lets hope it continues.www.apriliaforum.com
