Cloud formations were awful nice to the East, settled in to spin ten laps on Ripcord. Little thin in the one spot but wall to wall soft snow everywhere else.

Anyone know a good shop in the Boston / Worcester general area to buy used kids skis and boots?

Pretty good first day out at sugarbush today. Not much snow but they are blowing a lot of snow and it started snowing pretty good around 1:00. Should be a good week to recapture the base making snow.

Yep, good eye. My last pair coaching skis… like Johnny Cash they been everywhere, man. Hopefully they released all that energy, pleased ULLR, and help bring the goods.

Hopefully the ski burn was what we were missing and Skadi keeps providing.

    Cheers!

Got in a lap woth 500 skinning friends this am at Stowe. Pow was mostly groomed and blown off trails but it was nice to ski on natural snow again. Epic most definitely describes the lift lines and line of cars heading up the mtn road.

I’m guessing the lines at Sunapee were epic as well, but that’s only a guess. When I got there they were parking cars in the 3rd lot - and there is only one chair spinning.

Part of the problem is likely that Crotched still isn’t open, so many of those skiers are at Sunapee.

Yeah, we skied by the line for the quad (also only lift running, contrary to website info) and decided to head to the car. The amount of snow that fell wasn’t going to survive past 8:20 was our thinking.

And then we drove past bumper to bumper traffic all the way to our turn off

Well the Bush was pretty much as I expected, bit of wet fresh over tractor ice and a shit ton of people. Luckily the path down deathspout was treacherous with the guns all blazing. Kept the crowds down so we could lap OG a few times. Hardly anyone on it, seems they were all on spring fling. Click image for larger version.

Glad I bailed on the Bush and went Ellen. It was very quiet until late AM. Not much for open terrain, but the snow was bueno.

Got together with Lurker J today. His midweek pass meant we had to hunt for some lines to ski. Good times 8/10

Quality day at the Sun Mountain. 4-6” made for a nice soft surface with no crowds.

    Jerry was there too

Yard looks better with snow and with pics/stories of the crowds at the resorts, I was glad to go for a two hour hike by myself in the woods. Bright side

That’s where my wife and I are from. It’s a great area to live in, and you have good access to so much good skiing/riding.
