Well we can deduce that pole guy most certainly was a free heeler and I’m sure he’d be proud to know his granddaughter is working at a creamery too!

They are off of my friend list, too!

You could walk around Stowe with a golden doodle in one hand and a coffee in the other waering a crisp flannel and skinny jeans. Get some artisanal cheese.

Or get your ass and balls waxed in Waterbury. Again.

    Or all of the above!

Maybe the Powerball winner from Middlebury?
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Jay is overpriced- have ya been there? Went mtb up in NEK last summer, beautiful. However once off the trail, it was tweakers everywhere.

If I was the powerball winner I would purchase Plymouth Notch for my private invite only resort and avoid the headaches of 10 am openings at Jay whilst I did dawn patrol tram laps with my crew.
I would hire a zesty French chef named Aurélie who would ensure the correct ratio of gravy to cheese curds was used for the poutine. There would also be a curator for the freshest cans of ipa and collection of fine whiskies.
Not overly worried about tweakers in Plymouth, if any were found my Drogues would root them out and convince them to move along.

Hopefully they don't drag out the announcement of the winning bidder which Steve Wright said could be 4 [four] at this point.

In other news 1 3/4" of slow steady rain fell in my yard, some of which I hope seeped in deep to attempt a start at recharging the aquifer.

My main hope is the buyer can figure out how to keep the Tram and the three upper mountain lifts mechanically sound. ….and brings back the Judge Pass but I fear that is gone forever.

The tram got some major upgrades recently (I believe it was 2016 & 2018; new trucks, new operating system/electronics, and new haul cables), the Flyer is still mint, the issues with both those lifts are pretty much always wind/icing of cables. The Bonnie and Jet on the other hand......

this past year we were all joking that there was never a day when they both ran at the same time, so they must've been borrowing parts from one lift to service the other.... that blown gear box on Ol' Bon was a real bummer for about a month, and then they still had some issues after they replaced

fingers crossed for the Jay community that the buyer is not Alterra; I wish the auction was open to the public, that would be some high class entertainment to spectate

You need to hang with the grateful treads crew - most welcoming mtb community on the planet. As far as Jay being overpriced, there is some of the best free skiing on the planet (again) in that region.

Best skiing in NE easily. It's all about the snow.

Grateful treads sounds right up my alley.

I skied there a lot in the 70s because it was cheap and close to my uncle’s house.
