Open Snow.... "....Above is the probability of snow above 6" in a 24-h period ending near midnight Saturday into Sunday. The coast is definitely in the sweet spot for high-end snowfall amounts in both ensemble systems with locations farther north and west perhaps out of luck (e.g., northern Vermont). These probabilities are masking some big totals that could fall farther inland, especially with a robust snow band that could develop on the north and west side of the storm"
ME may do the best out of this one. Mentioned central NH mini hills too.

The NEK is going to get the shaft again.
I got bored and plowed the 2.5" of super fluff that fell yesterday morning off the driveway. First time I'd plowed this year.
5" at my snow stake
Next week looks like a thaw. Looking like one of those years the stake never makes it to a foot.Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

The only saving grace is the fat biking on the neighborhood trails is perfect.

A couple of neighbors with snow machines groom the trails. Currently there isn't a lot of grooming required.
If we can just get a decent 3-4 inches of decent snow, the trails would be buttery smooth.
Some of the neighbors prefer to ski the trails on scaled tele skis
Night time and bright lights:
Spent a fair amount of time out in the wood build some bridges...

the real blue ribbon in southern VT
Finally got out on the Ferox after changing all my angles and shims. The ski is absolute dream to ride and it does anything it’s asked. Climbs like a feather, skis like a powder seeking hover craft. It floats and pivots immediately. I highly recommend trying it. Unbelievable in tight trees, just make sure it’s set up how you need it. I have a 3/8” shim in the heel of my alpinist and it’s finally correct
