speaking of next level, how did i forget about *this* dude?

he brought a corn horn, every so often you'd hear it in the distance.

unless it was a mating call.

His instagram account, killingtonbirdman, is alltime amazing. Rode the gondola with him once a decade ago, and have been obsessed ever since.

That horn is for sure not for mating, i'm certain the birds just flock to him.

Goat’s still good down to midway. little patch of brown pow before midway and a nice clean 20 feet of mossy turf on National, otherwise good skiing. National is skiing great T2B and the turfy bit is rock free but a bit grabby, no skis were harmed on this outing. Click image for larger version.

I'm not sure about obsession, but the IG account is worth a look.

If anyone is tempted by the gaspe this weekend it looks like it could be really deep.

Took a long walk Monday for some warm snow. No promises on photos in the chocs as solo currently. Should be some good corn in May Dan.

Never seen bird man. RadioRon is one of my Kmart faves though.

Anyone heading to the bowl Saturday? I was planning on it but now not sure with recent snow. I don’t mind winter conditions but wind slab over hard pack/ice would give me some pause despite all the Avy gear + training…

    Might head to K instead…

People that ski the calendar might get a lesson in the bowl this weekend with that snow and winds.

Triggering an avalanche large enough to carry and bury a person may become possible. Colder temperatures, northwest wind and fresh snow will build slabs of wind-drifted snow below ridgelines over the next 48 hours. Watch for signs of unstable snow in the deeper drifts and note how well the new snow bonds with the underlying surface.
