Showed up at 8:30 for first tracks at Ragged. 0" drifted to 6" ripples on top of ice made for some strange feeling turns on my fat 106 twin tips. That, combined with malfunctioning air pods, made me very uncomfortable. Even with no one there it was tracked up in about 37 minutes.

Went over to Sunapee with something a little narrower and lapped the park with my future-son-in-law. Bunch of Epic pussies had the only sizeable jumps blocked off. Just needed to get creative with the approach angles.

Of course I could barely get out of bed this morning. Air is no longer my friend.

Due to a seemingly never ending string of circumstances, I finally got out for Day 1 of my season. Kiddo wanted to go ski and the 9” reported yesterday along with bluebird and no wind made for a day worth the wait. Skiing is indeed FUN… and I sure needed some fun.

Good question. My guess is Andrew has a good relationship with the mountain and it helps to promote Black so maybe not.

    Uh, yes?

He always says he took a few early , but he could have been referring to shots? Or does sliding down the hill in flip flops above the deck count??

The Sun Mountain was in all its glory today. Cold snow under bluebird skies. Views deep into 3 states.

We got early tracks on Shincracker when a tele skiing patroller gave us the heads up on the rope drop. Had to keep the tips down the fall line though as there isn’t much under the new snow.

The groomers of the Blue Ribbon quad were lovely and the perfect condition for clinics.

I ended up with 2 alpine cross overs (tele is dead?) in the PM so we stayed on very mellow terrain.

Skiing crazy slow and being sure every turn was textbook accurate has my legs more tired than earning turns or running hot laps on the bull wheel.

Oh and beers with biggins post skiing!

That was what I had been thinking. Ended up doing the notch at the end of the Stowe rd. 20 minutes to do the last mile of the access rd at 1100, other than that, a nice little tour. I did hop off the trail into the actual woods, and headed back to the trail/road ASAP. Nice fluffy white stuff out there, just not much of it.

Every realtor I've talked to has a waiting list of two to three years worth of families looking for a seasonal rental. It's easy now to cross off people with dog[s] as well.
