Anyone heading to the bowl Saturday? I was planning on it but now not sure with recent snow. I don’t mind winter conditions but wind slab over hard pack/ice would give me some pause despite all the Avy gear + training…
The point of all that avy training is to understand the risk before ever having to use the gear.

I agree 100% and that’s Exactly why based on todays weather I won’t be heading up this weekend. Even though things should be stable by Sunday, Saturday I believe will still be sketch.

It turns out Benny’s fondness of Saratoga is really a latent love of Vermont.

Other people living wealthy is what annoys him. He’s from a well documented blue-collar background. His dad will kick your ass if you suggest otherwise.

I can tell you that when they opened in SS, their beer selection was an embarrassment compared to the SoBTV store. Both stores have their fair share of hot soccer moms in yoga pants so there's that...

Nice pics Bucket! 'twas indeed a lovely day at the mighty K. We also skied Bunny Buster and were surprised at that first fairway that wasn't very visible from behind a slight rise. Apologies to the dude that decided that taking a piss at the narrowest part of that trail in clothes that were invisible in the shade was a good idea.

Day 100 for me this season. Didn't buy a Spring Pass and yesterday was my last "free" day on IKON so I'm done for the season. My season long TR is in the Trip Reports section if you haven't seen it....

Still doing pretty well around here, although I expect the thinner spots will start disappearing more quickly with weather looking warner through the ten day forecast.Click image for larger version.

ECRC thread could be renamed the bottlewoman stoke thread. Bottleman stokes her like we stoke our kids.

That’s amazing. The writer seems to be surprised that it was on the south side of the St Lawrence- liking encountering one on the north shore of the river would be no big deal.

Historically, polar bears ranged as far south as Cape Cod.

We closed out Gore yesterday. Kind of a mind blow, it leaked out at the end of March that they were going for 5/1 and I thought NFW.

There wasn't too much open, and you had to work for it, but it was fun as hell.
