Groom yer superstar at 5 PM at 50°, and then see what the fuck happens next day after the overnight temperature drops to 28. Ice skates ruled till now.

    nice afternoon session yesterday.
snow was consistently peel-away all day.
shame K-1 is done. there's much great cover
that will require hiking and walking.

bumped into nihiles for last few runs.

    repair from tuesday held tight.

Fun day at Jay with Green Beret, CanAm, and River Quai back open. A little billygoating was necessary. There is plenty of snow on the Jet looks like it will go for several more weeks.

Upper elevations of Big Jay still look skiable but it’s thin down near the pass.

I did too. I was not correct! I’ll even get a few days at K thanks to the generosity of Mrs G.

Sunday River closed today with good coverage on most of the open trails and some adventurous skiing available if you weren't particular about ropes. By the end of the day, most of the ropes had been collected, allowing those of us who brought our rock skis to play where we wanted to.

Saddleback closed for skiing two weekends ago with great skiing and coverage… this weekend they hosted a snowmobile hillclimb and pulled in probably 4X the amount of people than would have been there skiing. I hope the food service and Bar had a record weekend and they made a ton of money!

Of course I’d like to still be skiing there late into the season, but am understanding that as an independent they are not staying open just to stay open and loose money every day of operation. They’ve been there, done that. Reality based decision that I can accept.

I wish some of the hills would open up for summer Enduro riding. Moto that is. I would pay.

can confirm Jay was awesome on Saturday and there sure is a lot of snow left up there! We skied Face Chutes in the afternoon and I have to say it was a super fun line, hadn't skied it in the springtime before. The annual tailgate party was a blast as well, the winners of the competition showed up at 4am and smoked a whole pig.

you do however have both boots on (i presume) and are chilling atop a closed area with snow (stowe?) on a beautiful day. that's order enough.
the jeans get points for gaper day irony.
as no one's around to see them.

^^^and yes, way to keep it going in the BB, BM!

    True.

I may be a converter to spring skinning in jeans, they breathed far better than my spring pants and blocked the wind and snow spray better than shorts. Might have to buy some skinny jeans for the days I want to catch mad vert and race the Lycra skiers.

My god BM, I just realized the socks match (I think, I’m a bit color blind), BW is on point or on fleek, or whatever the cool kids say these days, much respect. your ski partner is next level.
