indeed it was - but the desired 'cool-down' after a somewhat gruelling friday was decidedly frigid! but we'll need that to keep the snow coming so i'm in!

I think it's been that way for a long time. Turns out that if you throw out the judging and just time it, you get ski racing, not tele racing.

I got a medal but that’s just wisely choosing your class and age bracket. I hand them right back in anyway.

Some of the best runs of the year yesterday and today. Maybe winter is going out with a bang?

Rivershed on the Killington access road does very good barbeque. The pulled pork sandwich with a Sip of Sunshine on tap is all you need. Succulent.

South faces were super thin and suncooked with a crust that firmed up on the return. Otherwise more NE aspects provided quality turns

Up and down, nice and sunny and mostly protected from the wind, a little breezy and cold higher up at the 3500' transition point.

Too bad. That was a fun event.
But it was getting too big and the ~10% of people that are jerks got too big.
That's why we can't have nice things.
Hopefully keeps going elsewhere, maybe king pine. Or I think it would be fun if it was a different hill each week.
Lots of uphill resort skiers act entitled, like they don't need to pay or follow the rules. Well you parked in a plowed lot and are on groomed man-made snow on maintained trails because the woods are not in. Takes more than lifts to make a ski hill. Go into the backcountry or get a ticket and buy a beer.
Cannon you need a full day ticket now, no more uphill only tickets. And we check and turn people back for sure.

Just chatted with my buddy who was a regular at the Friday Night Lights events; he said it's a shame but echoed what JH said, the 10% of people who were trespassing/not paying for tickets seemed to ruin it for everyone. He also said the owner of Black really isn't giving STW enough credit for bringing people to the mountain and the publicity associated with all the events. Seems like there's been a lot of issues with uphill travel all over new england this season
