Any insight from any Black Mtn. skiers?
Some drama for sure. Figured it would be ugly. $10 per skin seems like kind of an inconvenience....how much was the annual pass?

Glad we got some skiing stoke!

Light snow since Sunday really filled things in nicely.

I don't think you could even get a bad picture of her skiing, she's that good.

Pretty sure the annual uphill pass was $100, so if you went enough times it'd be worth it..

the math in the article doesn't really add up tho; owner says he pulls about $1000 per year in uphill pass sales, but if the FNL events pull up to 500 people, then 500 x $10 = $5,000... even if its less than 500, they host a bunch of events per season, so figure maybe ~100 people show up per week? still a decent amount of skier traffic and pass sales. Article also says he declined STW's $7k venue fee for Last Skier Standing, can't really be a grouch about the financials if you're turning down that money

The FNL $10 went to STW, and *only* to STW, not to Black Mtn. The enhanced/expanded FNL last week as part of the Mt W bc ski fest (i.e., ~500 vs a more typical ~200 participants, plus the bonfire) also did not go to Black Mtn. (Unclear though on the split between STW, SMG, TR dba BC LLC.)
Black Mtn has a different view on the claimed $7.2k for LSS, although I don't know the details.

I see, then that makes more sense why he'd be upset about the FNL financial stuff, I figured everyone had to pay the $10 for an uphill pass to Black Mtn. as part of registering for the STW events; appreciate the clarification here

The $7200 went to charity. The owner of black probably said I not making shit for the marathon skiathon and Drummond offered him the charity money. Obviously he’s not going to take it. If you have ever been to black it’s obvious it’s not a cash cow, the owner is bumping chairs a lot of the time. I’ve never had my Lift ticket checked there, but I did see the owner snowmobiling up the uphill route checking tickets. So this has been festering for a while.

East Coast Roll Call 21-22 We have a hot date with Skadi, Pictures at 11

Who gives a fuck about some beater hill in NH? Place is awesome for families, skied there a shit-ton as a youth. Skinning up with a bunch of fucking posers is worse than a dick punch. Leave the hill for the kids.
Take a lap off the groomed path, beaters.

Moar pics of bottlewoman, that chick is hot.

I haven't had my dick punched as much as you have I guess.

FNL was a fun after work thing. I went a few times several years ago.
Maybe not hard core enough for you. But there were more than a few NoCo skiers there who were very fit and experienced.

If anybody has suggestions for where to park overnight near Cannon, I would be grateful. Maybe a DM is better than just posting if it is sensitive. I promise not to share it.

I'm not sure what happened, but there was some fun skiing at Ragged this afternoon. A few inches Tuesday and Wednesday nights somehow managed to cover the ice.

174 Speedzone 12 TI's (with the 10 lb. Konnect setup removed), are actually fun on the low-angle-spaced-out bumps. Feeling a bit inferior on my 11 din bindings and 72mm waist, but fuckit. Skiing is a shit-ton of fun.
