    Organized Konfusion: 30 Years Strong

On October 29, 1991, rap duo Organized Konfusion served up some serious boom bap with their self-titled debut.
Consisting of MCs Pharoah Monch and Prince Poetry, OK came correct with tight production wrapped around deft lyrical dexterity.
The album still, imho, sounds as fresh today as it did back then.

The first single from the album was the nostalgic gem "Who Stole My Last Piece of Chicken?"

"Man, we killin' elephants in the back yard..."

This was another of the 4 singles released from the album and perhaps OC's finest barrage of verse ever (it more than likely was what got him signed to a solo deal, too).

I remember the first time I heard Hypnotical Gasses on WBAU (or maybe WRHU) in NY, blew my mind. Got that album as soon as it came out, still got the CD, still listen to it (in digital format). Prisoners of War is also a great track. Pharoahe Monch has evolved over the years, still putting out dope shit, th1rt3en is as good as anything that came out this year. I got him in my top five.

Yeah, the pop culture references and socio/political subtext in "Releasing Hypnotical Gases" is bonkers...
