Make 26.0 Ski Boots Fit 25.5
Any suggestions to make a 26.0 boot fit a 25.5?
The boots are Tecnica Diablo Inferno 130s, 97mm last, the orange ones. Brand new and I don't need them, but a family friend, an aggressive skier, she could use them.
I've thought of putting a boot length lift under her footbeds.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.

Tognor makes shims that may help. However, I would do a shell fit first. Tecnica during those orange variants had a history of playing with the BSL. For a while the size breaks went 280/ 290/ 300/ 310mm then the went back to more traditional 285/ 295/ 305/ 315mm.
What's the BSL?
How is the shell fit?
You could shim or 'short liner' the boot but if ya really liked this person, I would get them boots that actually fit.
Report back & best!

There are a number of ways to pack extra material into a pair of boots that are too big, and all of them suck.
If they are really too big (ie from a shell fit) and brand new, I would sell them and use the cash towards a properly fitting boot.

I've cut/ ductaped pieces of that blue discharge hose into a boot shell to take up some space, its thin, flexible, doesnt pack out but the shell is the right size to begin with
a 25 and a 25.5 will be the same shell while a 26 will be the next shell size, so really if you are trying to make a 26 into a 25.5 you are trying to make up a whole boot shell size ... probably not a good ideaLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Kelly Timmons told me that one time he pulled a liner out of a plug boot from a D2 racer and the toe was jammed full of ketchup packets to take up volume. Necessity is truly the mother of invention

Two pairs of socks FTW!.. But put the extra sock over the liner and under the shell.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

I was inbetween 2 boot sizes and ended up going with the smaller shell with the larger liner. Probably not the correct way to do it, but it worked.

poor idea
1) thicker socks
2) double socks
3) thicker or more footbeds
4) shitload of padding on the liner
overall wont really work

Best solution!
Buy these - take my temptation away.
(Not my sale - but been watching it for a while. It keeps going unsold.)

Don’t know too many woman that can ski a 130 boot well, especially one that is too big. Also, the Diablo inferno liners packed out super fast making them quickly even roomier.
