If anyone can show back up at the trail head with an epic story after an unplanned extended stay in the mountains it’s Toby. I got high hopes he shows up with a killer story soon. Few people know those mountains as well as he does, nor have his experience.

Whistler 21/22
Internal demons are tough.
Check in with your friends, tell them you’re available to them.
I feel for his boys and his family.

This is all 2nd hand but from a friend who helped search. He crashed his truck driving way too fast off a logging road into a lake. He was able to get out. Most likely pretty injured. Then scrambled up a very steep and cliffy hillside. Probably disoriented. Fell. Broken neck.

Gutted.
So many good memories and laughs with Toby. It looked like the boys had brought so much joy to him. Remember when they were born, just around the time we had a great heli day.
Hope to think he’s w Max slaying pow
RIP

RIP Toby… I went to High School with him and we ski raced together. He always went full send. Vibes to his family.

Oh man, very sorry to hear that, he seemed like such a solid guy each time we crossed paths and got to sk together. Gutted for his twins and family.
Move upside and let the man go through...
