I just looked cause I was thinking about trying that same tire next. Only places I’m seeing them online are all in Europe. That said, price including shipping from overseas is about the same as buying locally, so no the only penalty is the wait.

Worst case I could run a DD, but this is for my 120/140 ‘lightweight’ bike, so I would like to save some grams…but according to Maxxis, the difference is only 40 grams, which isn’t enough to worry about. I guess this answered my question, if true. DD sounds like the better call with the additional sidewall support.

Dissector w/Double Down only comes with MaxxGrip rubber, right? Don’t think that’s what you want for the light bike.

hopefully the-flying-v has what you need

One off, I happened to have the Assegai he was looking for, so we traded.

I am quite sure Exo and Exo+ only come in MaxxTerra and DD and DH only come in MaxxGrip for the Dissector.

Need a spreadsheet for all these variations. Wtf it’s a tire. This is worse than the light beer wars for market segmentation

Fair point, but I certainly would rather have more choices with consumables than less.
