Lookout has no bar, but open for full food service. No tables blocked off like last year so full capacity.

Been skiing here for ~40 years and there was never a bar in Lookout. I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Roundhouse which is mid-slope, Lookout is the original dumpy lodge on top.

It's over for SOME Idahoans, for sure. Blaine County has a high vax rate seemingly allowing those that won't vax or mask an easy way to rationalize never doing either.

I was worried enough about Breakthrough infections with Delta, and
with so many people just becoming eligible for boosters as we move into the holiday season...

    I'm glad we have childhood vaccination and boosters ;
I will be very interested to see what information is claimed in the next three weeks
( the Government needs to do better than it has done this year ( so far, I am not encouraged. vaccination mandate with a five-month lead-in; travel ban with 72hr Notice And no quarantine.
it just feels like a lot of political window dressing. )

it feels like we are going to Reset to July - If the vaccine provides significant immunity.

    Thanks, TBS

Political window dressing is a great analogy.'

Call me crazy but in the early days of the OG RONA, i thought this would bring everybody together in a Kumbaya type moment. Boy, I was wrong when the paleolithic tribe mentality started.

In Portugal 13 players and staff from a single soccer team got omicron. The Director General of Health in Portugal said all most all the players and staff were vaxxed. Cases have been mild though, for them.

Portugal has an 86.6% fully vaxed rate to our 59%.

Something like 9 NY Yankees got it when Delta arrived. They were also fully vaxxed. I think it's a given that breakthrough cases will happen with long term close exposure.. But, as long as we're still talking about mild or no symptoms we're still much better off than we were last year..

Are people still surprised that the vaccines, while significantly reducing the probability of infection, don't prevent it entirely?

Like, if it was 8 months ago then yeah maybe, but we're on the precipice of December 2021!

Well, it's really going to suck for all the Brits who dropped big coin on Xmas rentals in the French Alps. Are we next?

My worry is that local skiing gets stopped. Happened for part of last year and now the overlords are clamouring again.

Protocol yesterday was show your proof of vax and get a wrist tag to enter the property. Had paid online which allows them to give your rfid card access through the gates to load on to the lift. No line up and hardly anybody out so the wrod had very little of the d part.

Sounds like an extremely risky situation. They better shut it all down before the world ends.
