Some of you need to read this.

1. In the immediate aftermath, news outlets will get it wrong.
2. Don't trust anonymous sources.
3. Don't trust stories that cite another news outlet as the source of the information.
5. Pay attention to the language the media uses.
6. Look for news outlets close to the incident.
7. Compare multiple sources.
8. Big news brings out the fakers. And Photoshoppers.
9. Beware reflexive retweeting. Some of this is on you.

I like how he posted the sound effect of it as it flew by overhead

The pistol still should have been checked by the armorer/weapons specialist before that person handed it to the actor, and the AD shouldn’t have handed it to the actor and he shouldn’t have called out “Cold gun” if he didn’t know it for certain.
IOW, the protocols that would have prevented that were not followed. It seems like the set was probably a severe/toxic shitshow.

It is highly unlikely anyone could have gotten by the weapons specialist to put a bullet in the gun. And sets being severe toxic shitshows where everyone is overworked tired and frustrated is quite common. It's part of the industry. So I don't see an obvious link of crew members quitting to committing murder.

You could blame a couple of people for this but I want to know how a live round finds its way into a movie gun
Was there just one live round or more?
Were people fucking around with it plinking the night before? And they are stupid. Or was it done on purposeOwn your fail. ~Jer~

Read a little more MTT - a “live round” on a set doesn’t mean what you think
And it sounds like it was only 6 people who actually quit the production - so the headlines stating “movie crew quits over safety concerns” may be misleading in suggesting there was a mass exodus

The notion that this was a setup is pretty preposterous.

Some of you are not very bright
There are only two ways this happens
criminal negligence
Intentional criminal act
I would not be surprised if Baldwin was the one who wanted to find out how it felt to shoot an 1880’s six shooterOwn your fail. ~Jer~

I was not there but wonder if one of the beefs the camera crew had was the insistence that the actor discharge blanks directly at the camera?
I have been watching the TV for a couple days
They keep saying 45.
Is that verified? The pistol shot 45 colt ?
Just to look at it. Big difference between a blank and a Live round
If you were blind you could tell by the weight and length
There is also the likely possibility they were swapping cylinders, had a bunch of them lined up and some idiot had ?? Again how do live 45 colt rounds get anywhere near a movie set. It’s people’s jobs to check that very basic thingOwn your fail. ~Jer~

Always good to hear from my fan’s
I heard an interesting take on what happened to Brandon Lee
It was not a blank that killed him
The explanation was. They had been firing squibs through the gun previously the remains of a squib was stuck in the barrel. When he fired a “blank at his head “. It sent the squib into his brain
Interesting explanation
Still not very bright putting it a loaded gun to your head. You would want to make dam sure nothing could go boom. Fuckin movie starsOwn your fail. ~Jer~
