Excellent work by a little known ski film company called Teton Gravity Research.
I was able to watch the full version on the TGrTV app on my Roku.

I am curious what their parameters for an independent ski areas were...
In Tahoe we have a few areas operated by HOA's and towns/communities, as well as ones owned by small corporations or groups of investors as opposed to giant conglomerates and these places still operate very much on a mom & pop scale and vibe...

My kids got filmed one day for the movie. They didn’t make the cut. Disappointing because I wanted to say they were in a tgr film. Maybe one day

Great flick. Stoked that I've worked at/with a couple of the resorts in this movie. TGR captured the vibe of these places perfectly. Huge resorts with lots of high speed lifts are cool (I've worked at one for over 20 years), but you can't beat the vibe at these little independent spots. Here's hoping for deep snow for all my friends working at these classic spots. This movie hit me right in the feels.

AS I was watching I wondered if they would include Mt. Whittier, and about halfway through, for no apparent reason and without comment, they provided a glimpse of the place. We called it Mt Shittier back in the day, but I skied there a ton; along with Moose Mtn (surely another vanished hometown hill), I learned to ski on little hills in NH. Dover used to have a rope tow (Garrison Hill) with night skiing, and there was another one called Birch Hill somewhere else nearby, both probably overgrown with maples by now.

When I moved to Utah after college I was in the Logan area for a decade. I believe I’ve spent more hours at Beaver than all other ski areas I’ve skied combined. Heading up again this year after a long hiatus there, also in search of said hat. Originally Posted by ticketchecker
