    In Pursuit of Soul

Excellent work by a little known ski film company called Teton Gravity Research.

I was able to watch the full version on the TGrTV app on my Roku.

I am curious what their parameters for an independent ski areas were...

In Tahoe we have a few areas operated by HOA's and towns/communities, as well as ones owned by small corporations or groups of investors as opposed to giant conglomerates and these places still operate very much on a mom & pop scale and vibe...

Seems pretty obvious right up front.

    ^Fair enough...

Then my revised question would be:
"What are the criteria that Indy Pass uses to determine an independent resort?"

Not powdr Corp, Alterra etc. Iím sure there are more independent ski areas, the film just highlights Indy Pass participants.

My kids got filmed one day for the movie. They didnít make the cut. Disappointing because I wanted to say they were in a tgr film. Maybe one day

A bunch of us got filmed at Mission skiing but only one guy made the cut. Iím not disappointed, itís all about the small independent vibe.

This flick has furthered my already-in-motion motivation to hit a few super small spots near me this season:

Happy to show Mags around my home hill of Saddleback anytime. The love on that hill is real… as I’m sure it is for the other indy’s.

Great flick. Stoked that I've worked at/with a couple of the resorts in this movie. TGR captured the vibe of these places perfectly. Huge resorts with lots of high speed lifts are cool (I've worked at one for over 20 years), but you can't beat the vibe at these little independent spots. Here's hoping for deep snow for all my friends working at these classic spots. This movie hit me right in the feels.
