“I started not recognizing” is where the whole situation unravels…

Those are actually the current prices at the downtown, Aspen Elks Lodge.
$3 gets you a craft beer, $2 for a domestic and $4 for a mixed drink.
Saturday’s Turkey Roll is open to the public and of course, visiting Elks are always welcome.

Oh, I see that you’re trying to be clever with your oblique Marx reference. That’s really witty

At a job site yesterday. 9400 sq ft custom home on a 5 mil lot.
Broke ground September of last year, got the foundation partially excavated but the dirt contractor was so overbooked and inept they ended up shutting down for the winter. What with the very wet spring here the excavators didn't get back until late July and then fiddle fucked around and the concrete guys didn't get in until late August. Concrete crew is all Hispanic and they kicked ass and got a complex foundation done in 4 weeks. Steel package showed in October which was pretty nice and they got a lot of it up, now they are into framing. Yesterday the crew was 2 guys, 2 more were suppose to be there but no showed. At this rate the house might be ready for Christmas 2025.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

There are several snow management crews here that specialize in digging out construction sites. The members make as much or more than the laborers and so called carpenters.
There is a company on Bozeman that sells these huge 30' x 30' snow tarps designed to hold 3500 lbs with pick points that a grade all or tower crane can lift and move. Until a site is dry enough to keep from being buried, laying them out and lifting and dumping them consumes about 3/4 of a day every time it snows. Building in winter add 25-33% yet no one bitches cause.... progress?
Looks miserable.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

This isn't pure altruism; as is mentioned in the piece private equity is still making a nice profit. Enlightened self-interest? Whatever, it does seem to be a step in a better direction of sharing at least some of the wealth. Who knows, maybe it'll catch on?
P.S. I had a dream last night where some monkeys flew out of my butt. Coincidence?

What ever happened to profit sharing? Want your workers to give a shit about your company future? Back in the day (mid 80s-late 90s) even the mediocre jobs I had came with profit sharing and major medical that was practically free. .. We thought it was bullshit because there were no longer full pension plans offered..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
