That’s not something they make from what I can see. Not listed on the website currently, or in the 2020 catalog. All 2.4’s and 2.6’s are wide trail.

I’ve purchased 2 of these in the last year. Why are they suddenly unobtainium?

This is correct, its either 2.3 or 2.4WT and Exo+ only comes in 2.4WT.

It's because EXO+ is a new technology, and since it's introduction they have also introduced WT as a new technology. So all new EXO+ tires will also be WT.
WT is optimized to work on rims 30-35mm buy also performs well on rims as narrow as 25mm.
You can get a DHR2, MaxTerra, 2.4, 29, Non WT in EXO or DD, but not EXO+.

But I could be mistaken because .... Maxxis.

Ahh, right on. Bummer I don’t have that option any more.

My rim inner width is 30.5 so I should be good.

Can’t speak from experience, but the idea with WT was that the profile of a regular tire became too square when mounted on a wide rim, so the profile on a WT tire is more rounded than a regular tire so it doesn’t become overly square when mounted on the wide rim.

Going the opposite way, mounting a WT tire is going to provide a more rounded profile than intended. In practice, that means you’ll need a higher lean angle to engage the side knobs. However, it also means you can get to higher lean angles without going beyond where the side knobs can grip, which is why some DH guys will run 25mm rims.

Just mounted 2.5 & 2.4 Minions on 29mm rims yesterday. Profile wasn’t crazy at all. You’ll be fine at 30.5.

One distributor got them in August. I am thinking most shops were done buying tires at that point as they actually sat in stock for like a week an half.
