We Salted Nannie, a Southern Ghost Story

It's that time of year where a good ghost story always intrigues. I came across this repost today from The Bitter Southerner, an excellent long-form article and photo-journal magazine.

It combines the history of European settlement of the Colonies, its brutal push west, the stains of the Civil War and slavery, and modern depravity, all of which relates to one house and the land it sits on in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Reading it sent chills up my back and I couldn't fathom living in a place like that.
