    FS: Waltworks Custom Full Suspension

    SOLD

Long shot, but here goes. Waltworks custom steel full suspension XC/trail bike. See attached geo for size (and notes below regarding chainstay length).

This was my interpretation of a slack, short travel trail ripper. It was delivered in August of 2017, which technically means I invented downcountry. It’s built around my freakishly long legs, so has a shorter reach with a taller stack (geo schematic attached). Keep in mind the 150mm head tube when looking at reach and stack. The geo is a little unconventional, but it's the most comfortable bike I've owned and is a hoot to ride.

    - 120 rear/140 front, 27.5, full suspension frame
    - 2018 Fox 34 Factory
    - 2018 Fox Float Factory EVOL
    - Nox carbon rims, rear is new*
    - Project 321 quiet, high engagement rear hub. SRAM front hub
    - Magura MT Trail brakes (MT7 front, MT5 rear), new*
    - OneUp V2 210mm dropper
    - SRAM Eagle GX drivetrain
    - Race Face 175mm cranks (170mm available)
    - Race Face cockpit
    - Ergon GE1 grips (not pictured)
    - Bell, water bottle cage, and pedals not included.

    * Currently one shakedown ride on otherwise brand new parts. I will probably ride the bike another time or two.

    - I'm currently running the fork at 140mm. 130mm air shaft is included.
    - The original chainstays with the sliders broke, so Walt built new ones, without sliders, that come in at roughly 430mm. Broken chainstays included. It can be fixed, but I've never bothered.
    - The paint is...meh. I thought I'd keep this bike forever, so I didn't bother protecting the paint. A couple muddy SM100s didn't help things. If I end up keeping the bike, I'm gonna strip the paint to bare metal and clear coat it.

Wow, super intriguing. Do you know the weight by chance? Looks like the geo wasn't attached. I'm definitely interested.

I’ve never weighed it but it’s not particularly light. My guess is around 30 lbs. Geo was just added, lemme know if you still don’t see it.

    man that is cool AF
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

    gmen.

Appreciate the compliments and interest. I’d like to keep it, but I can’t justify it (to the wife, mostly).
