Snow level dropped to town mid-morning. Puking. Heard over 4' at the summit by 11AM.

    You're welcome.

Looking forward to Halloween turns when I get back...
I'll get in on the 'owed beers' train. I left Mammoth at 7 this morning when it was still raining in town and shortly after my wife told me it switched to snow. Headed to Delaware for ~9 days for work. Looking forward to 11/5 turns when I get back...

22 Blue - Looking ahead to the New (aka Fuck Summer (aka Tahoe Thread))

Folsom is up 9.5 feet since yesterday. North Fork of American River alone is pumping out an acre foot every few seconds. Clementine dam still has water running all the way across rather than the usual main 4 spillways. Clementine also went from 192 cfs yesterday morning to 16,000 at its peak. Zoom in for photo at about 12k.

2004 I believe. That was when my wife and some of our friend bought their first season pass, cause I got them up to ski before Halloween. I think that was also the year the power stations went down in November. They had it back up and running by the next weekend. It was a pretty consistent season if I remember correctly.

Legit 39" in like 18 hours on Rose. One cornice-triggered loose slide during storm. Density Change about 6" from bottom of Sunday night's snow. No slab present, yet. Feeling really stupid for not having my Lotus 138s. Excellent coverage. Looking forward to skiing corn at Thanksgiving (anti-jinx).

Making some lemonade. Hopefully Sierra's limitations will free up some employees for other resorts because I have a feeling that is what is calling the shots for their openings and those may still be up in the air.

If you want a chuckle go look at the local Vail resorts help wanted……they aren’t opening anytime soon.
Bout 2.5-3’ of heavy up here……even 135mm was undergunned……tomorrow should be better with some settling and moisture suckage

Sounds about right. I remember seeing a harvest show at the maritime hall in sf after opening day. Skied e-back earlier in mid-October that autumn. Gimpy had picts of he and joe dropping ski school chute before the hill opened. A solid season fueled by jmetzler’s season pass deals.

If I remember my history, that was a historically low snow year. Even more foreboding if most of that seasons meager snow fell in October.

weren't the slide paths on trimmer from 82-83? a result of an big october storm followed by a dry spell that turned the bottom rotten before the huge season kicked in?

not that this snow is going to turn to crap at the bottom
