so like, how sticky is it getting out there today? has any aspect transitioned with the hot sun the last few days or are we looking at a dank mank pow situation? asking for a friend who is sorta far from the mountains and is deciding whether to trek out for a 70degree saturday.

Ha I'm asking myself the exact same question (contemplating Sonora Pass or Shasta). Any beta from today would be appreciated.

I skied two north facing chutes on houghton today around 12-1. Untracked snow was excellent( narrow chute). The wide one was tracked, do not great.

Skinning up thru trees, again n facing, snow was excellent. Not sticky at all.

Overnight lows are very high the next few nights. Should be some righteous wet slides

Thinking of heading up to Palisades tomorrow for the last lifts of the season. How was it, where and when?

I spent around 9-10am messing around on GC on Tele skis then swapped over to alpine and lapped Sibo until around 12. Was getting sticky then but probably would have lasted another lap or two. Did not head over to Shirley. Sibo was probably good from opening bell I just didn't try it.

Main + National open first thing for ~30 minutes and patrol said the same would happen tomorrow (theoretically).

I also loaded the funi around 8:50, not sure when they started loading.
